Artist Statement

I primarily work in ceramics, crafting wheel-thrown vessels through traditional pottery techniques. My latest projects feature elements of marbling, raku, and kintsugi to blend layers, crack clay, and mend surfaces.

Nature is visually reflected in my art. Surf, sand, and moss are key elements in my creative aesthetic, and firmly ground the viewer's experience in the natural world.

My work explores the value we place on connection. Trade and gifting are an important part of my ethos as is my belief that sharing our stories adds richness to the world.
